Australia's Most Irish Name

WHAT IS AUSTRALIA'S MOST IRISH NAME?

An exciting new part of the Koroit Irish Festival this year will be the inaugural staging of What Is Australia's Most Irish Name. This will see Koroit Irish Festival ticket holders able to nominate themselves or friends and family also attending the festival who they think have the most Irish name. There will also be a section for the most traditional Gaelic Name. Our festival ambassador Leeanne Parkinson and her fellow Koroit - Irish legend Mick McGoldrick will be the judges.

To enter, you need to email us the name you are nominating, or put it in the comments on our Facebook posts on this matter. Entries will close at 11.59pm next Tuesday, April 26.

The judges will pick out the top 10 in the main category and Top 5 in the Gaelic, with those people then to march in our Street Procession on Saturday April 30. The winner will be announced on the Village Green at 1.45pm and presented with a famous Koroit Irish Festival Sash. Get nominating now for this world first event.
