Koroit Irish Festival Gaelic Games Carnival

In 2017 on Sunday April 30,  the Koroit Irish Festival Gaelic Games Carnival will be held. It again promises to be an exciting day for all.
The 2016 Koroit Irish Festival Gaelic Games Carnival was held on Sunday May 1 at Victoria Park. The day featured the local team the Koroit Shillelaghs up against some of the best talent from Melbourne in  women’s Gaelic football, Camogie and men’s Gaelic  football. The Garryowen team was champions in the women’s Gaelic Football.  Sinn Fein and The Shamrocks put on brilliant game of Camogie with Sinn Fein winning, reversing the result from 2015.  In the men’s Gaelic football, two local teams played an entertaining exhibition match. The Gaelic games first came to Koroit in 2014 when a Koroit All-Stars Australian Rules football team took on Sinn Fein Ladies with the home team winning.
