The Koroit Irish Festival Ambassador for 2015 is Mike Brady.

A respected and talented performer in the music industry for five decades, Brady will bring with him plenty of star quality to the Koroit Irish Festival.

He will perform an hour long feature concert on Saturday May 2 and will lead the street procession and present the Artist of the Year award.

At the Opening Night on Friday May 1 he will be a special guest with a one on one interview and performing two songs.

Brady is famous for his football anthems Up There Cazaly and One day in September and played at the 2014 AFL grand final.

Brady’s latest album Bloodlines tracks his Irish heritage and was recorded in Ireland with some of the country’s finest performers.

He will showcase this outstanding body of work at the Koroit Irish Festival.

Huge news for the The Koroit Irish Festival with Damien Leith coming back for 2015. Damien was a huge hit in 2014 and we were overwhelmed with requests to have him return this year. Damien is thrilled to be back in Koroit for a one hour show in the Koroit Theatre on Saturday May 2. The Beks–Bowman Memorial Award for Emerging Talent competition sees some of the most talented secondary school aged performers in the region compete for a first prize of $500.
This award is named after the late Henry and Mary Beks and recognises their love of music and their desire to promote and encourage young talent.
Performers in the Beks-Bowman Memorial Award for Emerging Talent need to perform an Irish themed song with the competition to take place at the 2020 festival on the morning of Saturday May 2.
Mary was part of the famous Bowman music family from Southern Cross hence the Beks-Bowman name being honoured together.
The award was offered for the first time in 2013 and was won by Dominic Dwyer in what was a high quality field.
The winner in 2014 was Mortlake’s Cooper Lower.
Talented young band “Since Tuesday” was the winner in 2015.
Bronson Hill won the award in 2016 and in 2017 it was Melbourne performer Celine Robinson.
Another Melbourne singer, Zoe Parsons, was the winner in 2018.
Hamilton singer-songwriter Caetline Martin (pictured) was the 2019 winner.
